About Us
Following the closure of the Flagstaff Birth and Women’s Center, a small group of us came together in 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to establish the Flagstaff Birth Collective.
We felt strongly about continuing to support Flagstaff families with accessible, collaborative, community-centered care.
Many of us had already been collaborating for nearly a decade, and the Collective grew from those longstanding relationships and shared commitment to perinatal care.
Together, we continue to connect families with trusted practitioners and holistic support throughout the perinatal period.

It is completely up to you!
Our practitioner Kaycee often recommends a frequency based on the individual case, but the ultimate decision rests with the client. Some people choose to go up to weekly, while others need a more informal check-in as needed.
Kaycee is mindful to work around busy schedules and accommodate everyone's individual therapeutic needs.
-
Kaycee recommends starting therapy while you are pregnant!
Even without a history of mental health concerns, the transition to parenthood can be a huge life change with strong waves of emotions.
Starting during the pregnancy also sets the parent up as Kaycee's client so they already have support planned for the post-partum mental health period. This also allows for quick scheduling if the parent struggles significantly.
-
Yes. Acupuncture is safe in all stages of pregnancy.
It is important that your practitioner knows you are pregnant or if you are trying to get pregnant so they can adjust your treatment accordingly.
-
It's worth exploring if you have unwanted pain in the pelvis or if you leak or feel heaviness in the pelvis and these issues keep you from doing what you want to do.
You can always call Colleen at 928-350-8270 for a free 15-minute phone consultation to find out if pelvic floor PT is something you want to try.
-
The outcomes from participating in pelvic PT depend on your individual goals.
Some patients simply want to figure out how to wear their babies without feeling pelvic heaviness or pain by the end of the day.
Some are trying to figure out how to get back to their previous exercise after birth.
Some are collegiate athletes and elite marathoners seeking to address leakage.
Your goals are what I strive to help you reach!
